Chief Executive Officer, Start With Why
Kim’s favorite word is revel. She believes we have a responsibility to help one another move to the edge of our individual and collective greatness. She has worked alongside New York Times bestselling author and optimist, Simon Sinek, since 2008. She began by showing up every day to the office – AKA Simon’s living room – to see how she could help advance the movement to inspire. Now as CEO of Start With Why, Kim is charged with building the foundation for which the Why movement can thrive. The Start With Why team exists to bring Sinek’s bold vision to life – a world where the vast majority of people wake up inspired to go to work, feel safe while they are there and return home at the end of the day fulfilled by the work they do. The team creates and provides a suite of tools and offerings to help leaders and organizations create workplaces and communities where we put people first. It’s Kim’s job to make sure the team is living this message on the inside. Kim’s strength and passion is to support people to step into roles where they can make the most meaningful and impactful contribution to the Why movement. Originally from a small town in Colorado, more than a decade in New York City makes it home. She lives in Brooklyn with her partner, Hagai.
Former Chief Marketing Officer, HYATT Hotels Corporation
John is Principal of Farley Hill, influencing leadership behavior. He believes that every organization should confront its challenges with open minds, analytical precision and fearless creativity. And from his own vast experiences, he knows that when this process occurs, the results are remarkable for organizations and the people within them. Now an advisor helping companies bring their purpose to life, John retired from Hyatt Hotels Corporation in 2016, where he’d had an amazing career. He ultimately became Global Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy, reporting to the CEO, managing a budget in excess of US$300 million and directing the efforts of seven Vice Presidents, encompassing roles of marketing communications, e-commerce, analytics, brands, innovation, public relations and loyalty, including 117 associates in Chicago, Zurich and Hong Kong. Previous roles included Senior Vice President, Product and Brand Development, Senior Vice President, Global Asset Management, General Manager and Regional Vice President for various of Hyatt’s international properties on every continent.
Former Manager, Shell GameChanger Innovation Program
Until March 2016, Mandar managed Shell's GameChanger program on social innovation, focusing on investing in novel solutions to social and environmental challenges that would create shared value - for both business and society. Through the portfolio of investments, Mandar strived to showcase that business can and must play a greater role (beyond philanthropy) to enable and scale social impact. He received the "Ashoka League of Intrapreneurs" award for designing and facilitating a leadership program using meditation practice to nourish the innovation culture at Shell. Mandar is co-founder of Media Rise, a not for profit, social enterprise that inspires both the creation and consumption of meaningful media to accelerate social change. He recently produced his first documentary film "From India With Love" – a story about the transformational pilgrimage to India taken by a group of Americans, who have all suffered from violence, in search of solace, healing and wisdom.

Author, activist and entrepreneur, Judy founded Philadelphia’s iconic White Dog Cafe in 1983, which became a pioneer in the farm to table movement and a model in sustainable business practices. She is founder of Fair Food Philly (2000) and the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (2001) and the nationwide (BALLE) Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (2001). In her retail career, Judy founded Black Cat, which featured locally made and fair-trade gifts for twenty years. In 1970, Judy cofounded the original Free People’s Store, now well known as Urban Outfitters (no longer affiliated). Her work has earned numerous local and national awards, including the James Beard Foundation Humanitarian of the Year Award, the International Association of Culinary Professionals Humanitarian Award and the Women Chefs and Restaurateurs Lifetime Achievement Award. Judy was inducted into the University Science Center’s Innovators Walk of Fame in 2016. Good Morning, Beautiful Business, Judy’s acclaimed memoir, won a national gold medal for business leadership and has been translated into Chinese and Korean. Judy continues her work to build a new economy of beautiful businesses and mentors the next generation of entrepreneurs in Philadelphia.

As Chief Economist at a major international consulting firm, John Perkins advised the World Bank, United Nations, IMF, U.S. Treasury Department, Fortune 500 corporations, and leaders of countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. President & CEO, Wellness Council of America
Ryan is President & CEO of WELCOA, the national leader in workplace and corporate wellness programs. He is known for his innovative and pragmatic approach to worksite wellness, and is furthering the WELCOA mission and vision – continuing to position the organization for success for the future. Prior to joining WELCOA, Ryan served BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST) for nine years working in health promotion, organizational development, human resources, strategy and planning, and account management. In his most recent role, he created and led health management consulting where he was responsible for developing strategies and capabilities to promote wellness and improve health for BCBST’s customers. Under his leadership, BCBST has received numerous national awards and recognition including a C. Everett Koop honorable mention in 2012. While in Tennessee, Ryan was an active member of the Tennessee Obesity Task force, Pioneering Healthy Communities initiative, and helped create the Chattanooga Wellness Coalition. He has a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Arizona University.

Alper is the Founding Partner of Management Centre Türkiye, a leading management consultancy operating in Turkey and surrounding region. Clients that he currently serves are; Saudi Telecom, TEB-BNP Paribas, Perfetti Van Melle, Türk Telecom, Vodafone, Turkcell, and Janssen. He has graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1991 and holds a Doctorate on Professional Studies on Organizational Consultancy at Ashridge/Middlesex University. Alper is the Co-Founder of European Leadership University which is a new generation university providing developing, recruiting and retaining talent for exceptional organizations through bespoke degree programmes. He is a member of Young Presidents Organisation (YPO). He has co-authored a best seller in Turkey: “Agile Companies” and has been a contributing writer to a recently published book in UK, “Organisational Consulting : @ the Edges of Possibility”. He speaks Turkish, English, and French.

She is known for her optimism and desire to help others realize their uniqueness and personal power. Through JANCOA’s renowned employee benefits program, the Dream Manager, Mary has created an exceptional work environment. The Dream Manager, popularized by the bestselling book by Matthew Kelly, under the same name, grew from an employee retention program into an encouraging example of what a business can be. Felicia is the founder of Ser In Motion – a unique conference platform that unifies performing arts, communication and high impact training. Ser In Motion presents at corporations, universities and other institutions. Alex is the founder of Social Good Now, which highlights social issues through short animated videos and visual content.
Alex’s projects have been featured on TEDx Houston, CNN, Time.com, Univision, Fast Company, and the Houston Chronicle. He’s also an occasional contributor to the Huffington Post.

Mim Senft has over 20 years of corporate experience in project management, benefits design and wellness program strategy and implementation. She specializes in providing companies with strategies that positively impact culture and create team innovation. She is a certified as a Worksite Wellness Specialist through the National Wellness Institute; has her GBA group benefits designation through the International Foundation of Benefit Professionals (IFEBP); her property and casualty insurance certification, Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), through the Insurance Institute of America; and became a certified yoga instructor in 2006. Prior to founding Motivity Partnerships, she worked with over 70 clients in a variety of industries including finance, manufacturing, law, fashion/retail and not-for-profit. She is also a co-founder of Global Women 4 Wellbeing (GW4W), a member of the Wellness At Work Initiative at the Global Wellness Institute, a member of the American Sustainable Business Council and a member of UN Women Metro. She served on the National Wellness Institute board from 2015 to February 2017.

Ruben is an international public speaker, trainer, marketing strategist and serial social entrepreneur. He is founder and CEO of CORE Media Enterprise, a media production, strategy and marketing company focused on changing the world through the power of story. In addition to his work at CORE Media Enterprise, Ruben is Executive Director of SocialGood.us, a national platform for social innovation, action tanks and business acceleration. SocialGood.us is part of the Social Good Summit, where Ruben also serves Director of Business Development. Ruben’s youngest company, LevelUp Institute, is a social enterprise that aims to empower the next generation of diverse entrepreneurs. The company works with students who are the first in their family to attend college, and come from historically low-income and marginalized backgrounds. LevelUp's 12-week accelerator produces entrepreneurs that create high-tech startups for social impact. Ruben holds a B.S. in Radio-TV-Film from the Moody College of Communications and an M.S. in Technology Commercialization from the McCombs School of Business, both from The University of Texas at Austin. He graduated from Leadership Austin’s Essential class of 2014, and was nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year for Austin Under 40 in 2015. He also was nominated for Changemaker of the Year in 2016 by the Austin Young Chamber.

As an experiential marketing strategist and managing partner at the Experience Firm, Elijah teaches companies about the power of building relationships and driving word of mouth. He believes that the purpose of business is to make life better for people, and that if we can commit to doing that to the best of our ability each and every day, we can build brands that change the world for the better.
Throughout his career, Elijah has negotiated with Hollywood studios, coordinated with the Secret Service, managed celebrity events, facilitated CEO roundtables, lectured at colleges and universities, and testified as an expert witness on branding. Mark serves heart-led entrepreneurs, innovative leaders, and coaches/therapists stalled in important work or life pursuits. They've become "stuck:" there's something they yearn to do, have the skills to do it, yet struggle with--for reasons that make little sense. Mark offers a concentrated way to get unstuck quickly. It includes reconnecting to the essential self in a visceral way ("core intention"), and resolving that internal civil war between parts that are driven and parts holding ourselves back. Prior to Concentrated Coaching, Mark had 34 years of coaching and consulting experience in strategy and strategy implementation (including incentive design and sales analytics), in startups and multinational companies around the world. That included roles as a Partner at the London Perret Roche Group; VP Professional Services at marketRx/Cognizant; Group Leader at the strategy advisory firm, Monitor Group; Senior Partner and Vice President at CSC Healthcare; Vice President with The Wilkerson Group (merged with IBM Healthcare); Principal at Towers Perrin; and lecturer at New York University. Jessica is founder and creative director of Hemmer Design, an apparel design company that specializes in strategy creation, trend and market research, product line planning, material sourcing, and product development.
Prior to founding Hemmer Design, Jessica worked both nationally and internationally for a range of companies including Woolrich, Under Armour, and Bemis. Her experience in advanced construction techniques such as sew-free and bonding have put her on the cutting edge of modern technical apparel.
Jessica has collaborated with some of the largest brands in the apparel industry and is continuously seeking innovative ways to help her clients realize their visions.
