Shuar Conservation and Sustainable Community Development Project
(formerly POLE)
In Sept. 2005, Dream Change received a request from the Shuar, our Ecuadorian partners, who live on the edge of a vast territory of the Amazon rainforest that is slated for oil exploration and development by the multinational oil industry. Their request was for assistance in developing sustainable income generating projects that would be compatible with protecting their Amazon rainforest home.
Indigenous Peoples Exchange
Despite the conventional idea that indigenous peoples have all but
disappeared along with their teachings; throughout the world there
are courageous representatives of the First Nations who are presenting a deeply compelling alternate world-view to the one that dominates our lives.
Siberian Book Project
Dream Change has facilitated the translation and publication of a book that will preserve the legacy of the drumming shamans of the Shor Mountain region of Siberia. It may be the only way these shamans are remembered - as the Shor shaman lineage is expected to die with shamans now in their 80's.
